Air Brick Cover
Our Vermiguard VentMesh air brick cover is a high-quality pest prevention product, manufactured in the UK using UV-stabilised plastic and durable stainless steel mesh.
Designed to fit over existing external air bricks, the cover helps prevent rodents and certain insects from gaining access to properties through ventilation openings while still allowing airflow through the vent.
The stainless steel mesh provides a durable physical barrier, while the outer plastic frame is designed for external use.
Why Choose an Air Brick Cover?
An air brick cover is a simple way to add pest protection to an existing ventilation opening without completely blocking the air brick.
Vermiguard VentMesh Covers are suitable for helping protect against pests that may otherwise gain access through external vents, including rodents and certain insects.
The unique Glue Groove built into the frame allows adhesive to be applied neatly around the cover and provides an improved bonding area. Depending on the installation surface, the cover can either be fitted using a suitable high-strength adhesive such as FixAll or securely screw-fixed into position.

Before ordering, measure the existing air brick and surrounding area carefully to make sure the chosen cover will sit securely over the full opening.
Installing Your Air Brick Cover
Before installation, make sure the surface surrounding the air brick is clean, sound and suitable for your chosen fixing method.
For adhesive installation, the built-in Glue Groove provides a dedicated channel around the frame for applying adhesive neatly. Always follow the instructions supplied with the adhesive being used.
Alternatively, the air brick cover can be securely fitted using suitable screws where appropriate for the fixing surface.
Take care not to obstruct the mesh itself during installation, as the air brick must remain able to provide ventilation.
Important Gas Safety Information
Air brick covers must not be fitted over vents serving gas appliances.
Ventilation is important for the safe operation of gas appliances, and Gas Safe Register advises that vents must not be blocked because gas appliances may require them to operate safely.

Over time, any mesh covering an external opening can collect dust, leaves or other debris. If airflow through a vent serving a gas appliance were restricted, this could create a serious safety risk.
If you are unsure whether an air brick or ventilation opening serves a gas appliance, do not fit an air brick cover until you have sought advice from a Gas Safe registered engineer.
