Features
This lift out aluminum window flyscreen is designed for easy installation and effective insect protection. Secured with sturdy brackets, it can be used both indoors and outdoors, making it a versatile choice for any space.
You have the flexibility to install it onto an existing window frame, a subframe, or directly onto the wall, ensuring a custom fit for your needs.
The flyscreen features a fine grey insect mesh with an 18×16 gauge, providing excellent visibility while keeping unwanted pests at bay. Its aluminum frame is beautifully powder-coated in a sleek white finish, adding a touch of elegance to your windows while also ensuring durability against the elements.
With maximum dimensions of 1200mm wide by 1200mm high or 1000mm wide by 1500mm high, this flyscreen is suitable for a variety of window sizes. For larger installations, a midbar can be incorporated to offer extra support and enhance stability.
Measuring
Measure width and height of the aperture, plus any bevelled edges on the window frame. Add 25mm of flat surface on each side (for the screen frame to rest against). If you are short of flat surface, you can have as little as 10mm, but the frame will overlap some of the aperture.
Any locating wedge for a cockspur handle must be included in the aperture measurement, and there must be at least 25mm of flat surface beyond it.
We manufacture to the sizes given to us, subject to +/- 2mm manufacturing tolerance. Please ensure you have read our measuring instructions carefully and made any deductions required.
Width: Aperture (and bevelled edges) + 50mm of flat surface.
Height: Aperture (and bevelled edges) + 50mm of flat surface.
Additionally
Ensure you have an additional 25mm of flat surface to fit top bracket and 25mm to fit the bottom bracket – do not include these amounts in the manufacturing measurements you give us.
Do you need to build a sub frame ?
If the window handle extends more than 10mm beyond the flat surface you will need to build a sub frame around the window to bring the screen away from the window handle when it is closed. Alternatively let the screen rest against the handle (hinged screen), or lift it down (lift-out screen). Or see our Stand Off Window screen which has a 35mm clearance.
