Commercial Window Screen
Our commercial window screen is a robust, made-to-measure insect screen designed for commercial environments. Available as either a fixed or hinged screen, it can be fitted to the existing window frame or surrounding wall surface and is suitable for internal or external fitting.
The screen is manufactured from a white powder-coated aluminium profile with mitred corners for a strong, neat finish. Grey insect mesh is supplied as standard, together with a brush pile seal around the frame. An optional midbar can also be added to provide additional support on larger screens.
Why Choose This Commercial Window Screen?
The fixed and hinged versions provide two simple options depending on how you need to use your window.
A hinged commercial window screen is fitted using side hinges and held closed with magnetic catches. This allows the screen to be opened when you need access to the window for opening, closing or cleaning.
The fixed version is screwed directly to the existing window frame or surrounding wall and provides a simple, secure solution where regular access to the window is not required.
Each screen is made to your supplied measurements and arrives ready for you to fit.
Commercial window screens can also form part of wider pest-prevention measures. The British Pest Control Association recommends proofing potential pest entry points and includes installing flyscreens among preventative measures for commercial premises.

Before You Order
Please make sure:
- There is enough flat surface around the window for the frame to sit against
- You have allowed sufficient space for window handles and other fittings
- You have measured carefully, as all screens are manufactured to the sizes you provide
All screens are made to your measurements with a manufacturing tolerance of ±2mm. We do not make allowances or deductions on your behalf, so please double-check your measurements before ordering.
Measuring Your Commercial Window Screen
Step 1: Measure the Opening
Measure the width of the aperture in three places — top, middle and bottom — and use the smallest measurement.
Measure the height in three places — left, centre and right — and use the smallest measurement.
Include any bevelled edges in your measurements and always provide measurements in millimetres (mm) as width × height.
Step 2: Check the Flat Surface
You will need 28mm of flat surface on each side for the screen frame to sit against.
If space is limited, a minimum of 10mm can be used, although the frame will overlap slightly into the window opening.
Step 3: Calculate Your Screen Size
Add 56mm to both the aperture width and height:
Width = aperture width + 56mm
Height = aperture height + 56mm
These are the manufacturing dimensions you should provide when ordering.
Additional Clearance for Hinged Screens
If you are ordering a hinged commercial window screen, you will also need sufficient additional flat surface for the fittings:
- 17mm for the hinges
- 13mm for the magnetic catch
These clearances are required for fitting only. Do not add them to the manufacturing measurements you provide.
Remember to allow sufficient space for any window handles or other fittings so that the screen can close correctly.

Please read our Commercial Window Screen measuring instructions carefully before ordering.
If you are unsure about measuring, fitting or whether the fixed or hinged option would be most suitable for your window, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help.
