Chain Screen
Our chain screen is a simple, hard-wearing doorway screen designed for commercial, industrial and high-traffic environments. Made from anodised aluminium chain links suspended from a removable top rail, it allows airflow and visibility while helping to reduce the entry of flying insects.
Suitable for fitting inside or outside the doorway, the chain screen is available either made to measure or as a DIY kit.

- 1 × hanging rail (1m wide)
- 3 × brackets
- 2 × 100m bags of chain

Before You Order
Please make sure there is enough flat surface above and around the doorway for the rail and fixing brackets to sit securely.
Check that you have allowed sufficient clearance for any door handles, fittings, thresholds or other obstructions.
All made-to-measure chain screens are manufactured to the dimensions you provide, so please measure carefully before ordering.
Measuring Your Chain Screen
Step 1: Measure the Width
Measure the width of the doorway aperture and allow a minimum overlap of 10mm on each side.
Width = aperture width + minimum 20mm
Step 2: Measure the Height
Measure from the doorsill to the top of the aperture.
Add 30mm to allow room for the fixing brackets, then deduct 10mm to provide clearance above the floor.
Height = aperture height + 30mm – 10mm
Important Measuring Information
- Always measure in millimetres (mm)
- Supply measurements as width × height
- Include any bevelled edges
- Made-to-measure screens are manufactured to your supplied dimensions with a tolerance of ±2mm
