Domestic Window Screen
Our domestic window screen is a simple, practical solution for everyday use in the home. Designed to fit either inside or outside the window frame, depending on how your window opens, it helps keep insects out while still allowing airflow through the room.
The screen is made with a white powder-coated aluminium frame and grey insect mesh as standard. An optional midbar can also be added for additional support on larger screens.

Hinged Screen
Opens like a door using small hinges and turn buttons, making it ideal where regular access to the window is required. Available with either the standard or T10 profile.
Lift-Out Screen
Sits securely in brackets and can be easily removed when required.
Fixed Screen
A permanent option that is screw-fixed into position. Available with either the standard or T10 profile.
Before You Order
Please make sure:
- There is enough flat surface around your window for the frame to sit against
- You have allowed sufficient space for window handles and other fittings
- You have measured carefully, as all made-to-measure screens are manufactured to the sizes you provide
All made-to-measure screens are manufactured to your supplied measurements with a tolerance of ±2mm. We do not make allowances or deductions on your behalf, so please double-check your measurements before ordering.
Measuring Your Domestic Window Screen
Step 1: Measure the Opening
Measure the width and height of the window aperture, including any bevelled edges.
Always measure in millimetres (mm) and provide your measurements as width × height.
Step 2: Check the Flat Surface
You will need 25mm of flat surface on each side for the screen frame to sit against.
If space is limited, a minimum of 10mm can be used, although the frame will overlap slightly into the opening.
Step 3: Calculate Your Screen Size
Add 50mm to both the aperture width and height:
Width = aperture width + 50mm
Height = aperture height + 50mm
These are the dimensions you should provide when ordering your made-to-measure screen.
Allowing for Window Handles
If your window handle projects more than 10mm beyond the mounting surface, a subframe may be required to bring the screen far enough away from the handle to allow it to close correctly.
