Wind-Resistant Roller Door Screen
Our wind-resistant roller door screen is a robust, made-to-measure insect screen designed for domestic and commercial doorways. The grey insect mesh retracts neatly into the cartridge when not in use, while anti-wind brush strips help hold the mesh securely within the tracks when the screen is closed.
The screen is reveal fit only and can be fitted inside or outside the doorway depending on how the existing door opens. Two configurations are available: side mounted and handle operated, or top mounted and chain operated.

This roller door screen provides a neat retractable solution for doorways where you want insect protection without permanently covering the opening.
The anti-wind brush strips help retain the mesh within the tracks, making this our most wind-resistant roller door screen. When not required, the mesh retracts back into the cartridge to leave the doorway clear.
Physical screening can help reduce flying insects entering through open doorways while still allowing ventilation. The British Pest Control Association recommends fly screens as one of the measures that can help prevent flies gaining access indoors.
Choose Your Roller Door Configuration
Side Mounted – Handle Operated
The side-mounted roller door pulls horizontally across the doorway using a handle and retracts into a cartridge positioned at the side.
It is available for both single and double doorways. Single screens close against a magnetic strip, while double screens consist of two retractable screens that meet in the middle.
The side-mounted version includes a bottom track, which must sit securely against a level threshold. In some installations, it may be necessary to raise or create a suitable threshold.
Maximum sizes:
- Single door: 1600mm wide × 2400mm high
- Double door: 3000mm wide × 2400mm high
Top Mounted – Chain Operated
The top-mounted roller door pulls vertically down from a cartridge positioned above the doorway.
It has no bottom rail, helping to keep the doorway clear when the screen is retracted. The screen is operated using a chain fitted with a safety break and can be operated from either side.
The operating chain must be positioned a minimum of 60cm from the ground and installed in accordance with the supplied chain-safety requirements.

Before You Order
Both versions of this wind-resistant door screen are suitable for reveal fitting only.
If your existing door opens outwards, the screen should be fitted on the inside. If the door opens inwards, the screen should be fitted on the outside.
For either configuration, check that there is sufficient space within the reveal for the cartridge and tracks.
For the side-mounted screen, the bottom track must have a suitable level threshold to sit against.
For the top-mounted screen, there must be a suitable level fixing surface at the base of the side tracks, and sufficient space to position the operating chain safely.
All screens are made to the measurements you provide, with a manufacturing tolerance of ±2mm.
Measuring Your Roller Door Screen
The measuring calculation is the same for both top-mounted and side-mounted versions.
Measure the width of the door aperture in three places — top, middle and bottom — and use the smallest measurement.
Measure the height in three places — left, centre and right — and use the smallest measurement.
Deduct 2mm from both dimensions:
Width = smallest aperture width – 2mm
Height = smallest aperture height – 2mm
Always measure in millimetres (mm), include any bevelled edges and provide your measurements as width × height.
