PVC Strip Curtain
Our PVC strip curtain is a durable, practical solution for busy commercial and industrial doorways. Clear PVC strips hang from a stainless steel hook-on rail, helping reduce the entry of insects, birds, dust and draughts while still allowing easy access through the opening.
The transparent strips provide good visibility and flexibility, making the curtain suitable for warehouses, kitchens, workshops and other high-traffic environments where staff, pallet trucks or forklifts need to pass through regularly.
Why Choose This PVC Strip Curtain?
The individual strips part easily as people or vehicles pass through, then fall back into position afterwards. Each strip can also be removed individually for cleaning or replacement, making the system straightforward to maintain.
The overlap between the strips can be adjusted during installation to suit the application, and the curtain is suitable for both internal and external commercial doorways.
For food businesses, screening open doorways can also form part of wider pest-prevention measures. UK food-business guidance requires suitable protection against contamination and pest entry, including insect-proof screening for openings to the outside where appropriate.
Read the GOV.UK guidance for food businesses.

Before You Order
Please ensure there is enough flat fixing surface around the doorway for the rail and curtain overlap.
For face fixing, we recommend allowing at least 25mm of flat surface on each side of the opening. For wider openings or external fitting, a larger overlap of 50mm or more on each side may be preferable.
Check for any obstructions such as pipework, handles, trunking or uneven wall surfaces before ordering.
Measuring Your PVC Strip Curtain
Step 1: Measure the Width
Measure the full width of the aperture, including any bevelled edges around the frame.
For face fixing, allow at least 25mm overlap on each side.
For wider openings or external fitting, a larger overlap of 50mm or more per side may be preferable.
Width = aperture width + 25mm left overlap + 25mm right overlap
Step 2: Measure the Height
Measure from the top of the door frame down to the floor or threshold.
Deduct 10mm to provide floor clearance once fitted.
Height = aperture height – 10mm
Important Rail Information
The stainless steel hooks are spaced at 41mm intervals, so the rail can only be cut between hook centres.
If we cannot cut the rail to the exact size ordered, it will be supplied to the next largest complete hook spacing. If required, the rail can be trimmed further on site using a hacksaw.
All made-to-measure curtains are manufactured to the dimensions you provide, with a tolerance of ±2mm. We do not make allowances or deductions on your behalf, so please double-check your measurements before ordering.
Please read our PVC Strip Curtain measuring instructions carefully before placing your order.
If you are unsure about measuring, fitting or which PVC grade you require, please contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help.
